These programs host trainings, workshops, medical missions, and community initiatives, extending their impact across the Cordillera region and beyond through webinars.
Start NowCYLC began with a flagship project called "Sabong ti Namnama" (an Ilocano term for Flowers of Hope). This initiative was a series of painting workshops held in three key locations in Benguet, engaging indigenous youth artists in creating flower-themed paintings. The artworks were designed to be displayed across the province's six public hospitals. With scientific evidence showing that flowers can uplift emotions, these paintings aimed to bring hope and positivity to patients while improving hospital interiors—showcasing the youths' contributions to their community through visual arts.
We started with just six members, invited by our president and founder, Ms. Jessica Bilat, who were eager to bring this project to life. Over time, we expanded by welcoming more young leaders, allowing the organization to grow steadily—reaching not only the rest of the Cordillera but also making an impact across the Philippines.
Within our first year, we successfully accomplished more than a hundred projects, a testament to the dedication
and passion of Cordillera's young leaders.
We operate across all six provinces and the chartered city of the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), while extending our impact through digital initiatives that transcend borders.
